Abstract:The virulence of 17 Bacillus thuringiensis strains against 2-3 instar larvae of Monochamus alternatus were tested in indoor.The results showed that two strains (RBT-200701, RBT-200702) exhibited high poisonous activity, and the caused corrected mortality of 2-3 instar M.alternatus larvae were all more than 70%.A positive correlation was found between the corrected mortality and the concentration of spores and parasporal crystal(125-2 000 μg·g-1). The insecticidal effect increased with treatment time (0-20 d).The morphological changes of the two strains at various developmental stages were examined with microscopy on the cell smear.The optimal fermentation condition of strains was 30 ℃, pH7.2,200 r·min-1,for 36 h. The two strains had the same protein spectrum after SDS-PAGE analysis.
