| 摘 要： | 城市广场是现代城市空间环境中最具公共性、最富艺术魅力、也是最能反映现代都市文明和气氛的开放空间，它体现了城市的生活模式和社会文化内涵，是城市风貌的集中体现。文章引入认知地图的概念，分别讨论广场中路径、标志、节点、区域、边界5个意象元素的设计情况，探索了大型城市广场设计的思路和途径，并给予其一定的启示。

| Abstract: | City square is the open space that has the most publicity and charm of art,and it also reflects the civilization and atmosphere of the modern city. It represents the way of living in city and the intension of social cultures. The article cites the conception of cognitive map,discusses the five elements such as path, signs, nodes, area and edge in square design. Thoughts and methods about the design of large--sized city square are discussed and gave some enlightenment accordingly. |
