摘    要:本文分析了黄河中游半干旱区黄土丘陵地区的自然条件与环境特征,提出在黄土丘沟区以淤地坝的方式,建立黄土高原半干旱地区独特的绿洲。文中较全面的分析了该区建设绿洲的必要性与可能性,以及持续发展的有关问题。

Abstract:The irrigated agricuIture in arid regions may be called oasis agrictiIture,a particularhuman landscape in arid regions. The tnean annual precipitation in the middle Yellow Riverbasin is 350-500mm ,and it is sufficient to meet the agricultural need for one crop a yearin general.However,becaues the yearly rainfall in this region is highly concentrated,andthe land surface is dissected to a grest degree,the effective water available to crops isoften iri shortage. To maintain the stable and sustainable development of agricuIture,theartificial oasis construction, the check dam system for intercepting sediment and buildingland should be conducted in this region. The three basic conditions including water,topography and soils are all favorable to the artificial oasis construction. Study shows that 25000 check dams can be built,and after the completion,3.5-4.0million mu of land can be obtained,where 400-800 million kg of grain may be producedannually. However,to make the agricuItural environment sustainable,the followingshould be taken into account:1.the careful planning for check dam system;2. multi-purpose check dam system aiming at flood protection, sediment interceptlon,land buildingand grain production;3.the cotintermeastires for saliiiization and water-logging;and 4,the regular maintenance to keep the check dams stable.
