| Abstract: | This paper introduces the emerging background,concept,core thought and characteristics of complex and adaptive system(CAS).It is pointed out that the CAS theory is pioneering and significant for solving the issues at present in resources and environment,such as biological,ecological,economical and social complex system and complex management.Starting from characteristics of forest ecosystem,the paper pointed out that forest ecosystem is a complex and adaptive system and the research of CAS theory was critical for study the complexity of forest ecosystem and forest ecological construction. |
