| Abstract: | To establish a safe,simple and reliable subchronic cadmium poisoning model in rats,30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups.Animals were treated with deionized water containing CdCl2 at 1.25,2.5,5,10 mg/kg by gavage perday,animals in the control group were given deionized water,and the effects of cadmium at different concentrations on liver and kidney was studied.The results were as follows: the contents of cadmium in the serum,liver,kidney and the content of creatinine in serum raised with the dosage’s augmentation and the treatment time’s elongation.The activity of ALT was 68.50±11.74,70.67±8.64 and 72.00±11.67 U/L when the dosage of was 2.5 mg/kg,5 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg perday for 56 days,which was significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The liver and kidney has obvious pathological lesions,while there was no significant difference on the weights,the creatinine content and LDH activity in serum of rats.The results showed that the establishment of these models treated with different dosages of cadmium(5mg/kg to 10mg/kg) for 42 to 56 days’elongation might be experimentally constructive to the research on the toxicity of cadmium. |
