英国EAP教师专业发展能力认证制度的启示

摘    要:英国学术英语教师学会所制定的学术英语教师发展能力框架为教师专业发展建立了认证制度,在学术知识、学生需求分析、课程发展研究及实践能力方面有了一定的衡量指标。我国学术英语课程教学刚刚起步,师资匮乏问题使得课程建设举步维艰。英国学术英语教师发展能力指标框架对于促进我国学术英语教师专业发展和建立学术英语教师能力认证制度具有一定的启示和借鉴作用。

Abstract:The Competency Framework for Teachers of English for Academic Purposes was published by BALEAP in the UK in 2010, which constructed the standards for the EAP teachers in terms of knowledge structure, students need analysis, and course development research and practical skills. However, the Teaching of English for Academic Purposes was quite new in China, and the curriculum construction was handicapped by the shortage of qualified teachers. In view of this dilemma, the author believed that the experience of the UK can give reference to setting up a series of the rules or standards for the qualification certification of EAP teachers competency in China.
