| Abstract: | This paper is concerned with a discussion of ecological forestry, beneficialforestry, and classified forest management. It is argued that classified forest management isthe guideline of Chinese forestry development; that ecological forestry is the theory guidingpractice and technology generation; that high benefit is the goal of forest production; andthat an integration of these three aspects fitted into the socialist systein of market economywith intensive management as a basic technical requirement, constitutes the forestry develop-ment orientation characteristic of China. |
