Abstract:Fourty-two accession; from relative genera and species of wheat were inoculated with culture 411 of Erysiphe graminis f sp. tritici, which was the dominant stain in pathogen populations of the fungus in Sichuan province. Among the inoculated accessions, tested 5 species from hexaploid wheat were all susceptible, and 6 species from tetraploid wheat, as Triticum araraticum, T. carthicum, T. dicoccoides, T. dicoccum, T. paleocolchicum, and T. timopeevii, were immune. The wildrye collected from Xinjiang and the triticales from Rwanda were also immune, and among the tested relative genera, Aegilops tauschii, Elymus dahuricus, Leymus secorlinus, Roegneria fedtschenkoi, and R. longinglumis are susceptible, the others were resistant. It is considered that there are rich germplasm resources for resistance to powdery mildew in relative genera and species of wheat.
