| Abstract: | According to the exponential distribution law of flow velocities and the measured flow velocities on the middle vertical line, an integral formula for calculating discharges of canals of U_shaped cross_section is established. By taking actual examples, the flow measurement method for canals of U_shaped cross_section is described. This method is simple and convenient to applying to irrigation districts management. |
