摘    要:In the present paper,a series of laboratory,pot and field experiments was made to study the sorption and transformation of arsenite As(Ⅲ)and arsenate As(Ⅴboth in soils derived from 14 different parent materials and in various soil components as well as their relations between the sorption and transformation and rice growth,to elucidate the mechanisms of soil chemistry involved in the sorption and transformation of As(Ⅲ)and As(Ⅴ)by soils and soil components.These comprehensive studies have provided some effective measures of protecting and reversing arsenic pollution in the soil environment.The results obtained are summarised as follows
