Abstract: | In 1999, a disease of chrysanthemum Dendranthema grandiflorum (Ramat.) Kitamura], characterized by virescence of flowers, occurred in Okinawa Prefecture. The causal agent was identified
as “Candidatus Phytoplasma aurantifolia” based on 16S rDNA sequencing.
