Abstract:
The dose of heat required to kill Vibrio anguillarum has been determined. The results show that > 99·97% inactivation was obtained after 3 min exposure to 44·0°C. After 2 min exposure to 47·5°C, > 99·99% inactivation was obtained. The results indicate that heating is a useful method for safe disinfection of small amounts of water.
