| Abstract: | A recently identified new member of the angiopoietin-like proteins(ANGPTLs), angiopoietin-like protein 8(ANGPTL8), this gene encodes a secreted protein with lipid metabolism. Research progress of structure, gene localization, regulation of gene expression, function for ANGPTL8 gene were summarized in this paper, and prospect of treating lipid metabolic diseases for ANGPTL8 were forecasted. |
