Abstract: | With the development of industrialization and urbanization, the rural social structure has changed. The individualization of farmers and the overused administrative behavior of village committees lead to the dilemma of public affairs governance. As an important economic organization in rural areas, farmers'' professional cooperatives have the feasibility and advantages of participating in public affairs governance. It is of great significance to clarify the participation path of cooperatives for improving the rural governance system. According to the content of rural public affairs, the participation of cooperatives can be divided into three aspects: (1) Participating in the governance of economic affairs, including increasing farmers'' income, realizing scale production and industrialized operation, providing financial support and optimizing the allocation of public resources. (2) Participating in the governance of political affairs, including participating in democratic elections, influencing decision-making, supervising public affairs, and cultivating democratic consciousness. (3) Participating in the governance of social affairs, including undertaking infrastructure construction and maintenance, organizing cultural and educational activities, providing social security and mediating rural conflicts and disputes. |
