| Abstract: | Frost and Schwemer's time ratio method was applied in the study of kinetics of competitive consecutive second order esterification of sodium dehydroabietate with 1.2-dibromoethane by the phase-transfer catalysis (PTC). Reaction rate constants and value of activation energy were estimated based on data obtained and the possible mechanism for the esterification between solid-liquid phase in the presence of phase transfer catalyst was also postulated. |
