| Abstract: | The responsibility system of contract for grassland--paying utilization had been fulfilled from 1996 in Tianzhu County, included two stages such as case study and extension.A total of 39 000 hm2 and 3 370 hm2 grassland has been contracted by farmers and farmer groups, respectively. This system would enhance construction investment from farmers,benefit for keeping balance between carrying capacity and stocking rate. It is a essential policy for sustainable development of grassland in Tianzhu County. |
