摘    要:吐鲁番盆地位于新疆维吾尔自治区的东部,是闻名中外的旅游城市和瓜果之乡.因为气候极度干旱炎热、地势低洼、风大风频等自然地理特征,其自然、生态环境十分恶劣和脆弱.现今区内的自然地理环境尤其是水资源的极度匮乏已经对其社会经济的可持续发展带来了隐患.借助RS和GIS工具,对代表自然生态状况的植被覆盖情况的变化从自然及人文方面分别作了一系列的探讨和研究,为吐鲁番盆地的国民经济可持续发展提供一些理论基础和科学依据.

Abstract:The Turpan basin is located in the east of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China,is well-known both at home and abroad as the tourist attraction and the land of the fruit and melons,moreover it also has radiant,deep historical culture.But because of its extreme arid torrid climate,hypsography low-lying,gale and frequent wind and other unique physical geography characteristics,its nature,ecological environment are extremely bad and frail.Nowadays the environment in the region,in particular water resources are extremely deficient,and have already brought the hidden danger to its social economy's sustainable development.In this article,by using the RS and the GIS tool,the natural and human interconnection of vegetation coverage change in Turpan Basin were investigated,which provided a theoretical basis for the sustainable development of national economy in Turpan Basin.
