Abstract:In the present study,22,13 and 19 species of natural enemies of the pest insects of ap- ple trees were observed in natural control,chemical control and integrated pest manage- ment(IPM)system plantations,respectively.The peak of occurrence of natural enemies in the IPM plantation coincided with that in the natural control plantation.The populations amount of the insect pests and their primary natural enemies showed a highly significant correlation(P=0.01).On the chemical control plantation,the population amount of Chrysopa sinica Tieder and Myzus malsuctus Matsumura was significantly correlated (P=0.05).No significant correlation existed between the other pests and natural enemies. The natural control plantation had the greatest diversity index,(H')followed by the IPM systum plantation and chemical control plantation.For the index C,the sequence was chemical control plantation>IPM plantation>natural control plantation.The three in- dexes of H',evenness(E)and C showed minor fluctuation in natural control plantation and IPM plantantion,while in chemical control plantation,the fluctuation appeared greater. Niche overlap of insect pests and their natural enemies was highest in the IPM system plan- tation.
