| Abstract: | Thickspike wildrye stripe mosaic disease was caused by the toxin of Diuraphis (Holcaphis) agropyronphaga Zhang.This disease was mainly distributed in the Hexi and Centre areas of Gansu province.The typical symptom of this disease was yellowish stripe mosaic,leaf twisting to rope.The latent period was 5 days. There are no difference in ability of transmission between nymphs and adults.From 2] plant species tested, Triticum aestivum L.,Hordeum vulgare L.,Secale Cereales L.,Avena nuda L.,Setaria italica L.,Zea maydis L., Sorghum vulgare pers.,Aneurolepidium dasytachys (Trin.) Nevski,Clinelymus cylindricus (Franch.) Honda,stipa bungeana Tria,showed symptom.But panicum melicaceum L.,Echinochlora crusgslli Var.hispidula (Retz.) Hon- ta etc 10 plant species were symptomless.Further study are need for Arena fatua L.,This disease was re- ported for the first time in China. |
