| Abstract: | Spectinomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Streptomyces spectabilis. It has become one of the first-selected veterinary drugs because it exerts little toxic side-effects and it does almost not accumulated in animal bodies. However, studies on spectinomycin in our country are relatively few. In this paper we summarize the progresses in breeding, metabolism, determination of spectinomycin and its prospect as a veterinary drug. |
