| Abstract: | The experiment was conducted using a total of three hundreds 0-day-old Arbor Acre broilers to investigate the effects of supplement with Radix hedysari at different levels of basal diet on growth performance,metabolism and carcass traits of broilers.A completely randomized design was used.Broilers were randomly divided into 5 groups,6 replicates for each group and 10 broilers for each replicate.The five treatments were basal diet and basal diet supplemented with 5 mg·kg-1 flavomycin,0.5 %,1% and 2 % Radix hedysari respectively.The results showed that basal diet supplemented with Radix hedysari significantly increased the apparent retention of dry matter,crude protein,calcium and phosphorus and the percentage of abnormal fat of broilers(P<0.05).Supplementation of 5 mg·kg-1 flavomycin increased the average daily weight gain of brolers during 1~3 weeks(P=0.005).There were no significant effects of Radix hedysari on growth performance and other carcass traits of broilers(P>0.05). |
