| Abstract: | Weiyou 111 (V20A/y111) is a newlydeveloped indica hybrid rice combination for medium or late cropping rice, whose restorer line is derived from the cross of Minghui 63 and Myliang 46 by way of pedigree selection. It is characteristic of high yield, good blast resistance, cold tolerance, lodging resistance and high seed production yield. Weiyou 111 was certified in Hunan Province in February, 1999. The key techniques for its cultivation and hybrid seed production were given in this paper. |
