| Abstract: | A deterministic mathematical model is developed for assessing the economic effects of disease outbreaks in broiler chicken flocks. Using the model, this paper estimates the very high cost of disease which occurred on a poultry farm in Ibadan. Nigeria and indicates the wide variety of accurate date required when trying to obtain precise figures for the true financial costs of disease. |
