基于高SBS阈值的HNLF产生高重复频率超短光脉冲

摘    要:基于光纤中的四波混频(FWM)产生高重复频率超短光脉冲的原理,并为抑制光纤中的受激Brillouin散射(SBS),采用非均匀掺杂高SBS阈值非线性光纤,通过FWM对双拍频信号进行整形压缩,实验上获得了100GHz的高重复率超短光脉冲序列,进而分析了入纤功率对输出光脉冲的影响。

Abstract:High repetition rate ultra-short optical pulse train generated by means of four-wave mixing(FWM) in fiber to compress dual-frequency beat signals has attracted considerable attention.However,the launched power into the fiber is limited by the threshold of stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) of the fiber,which has a great impact on the performance of the output pulse train.In this paper,we use a nonlinear fiber with high SBS threshold to compress dual-frequency beat signals by the FWM in the fiber.A 100 GHz pulse train is achieved experimentally and the output waveform impacted by the input power is analyzed.
