| Abstract: | This paper discusses the general development tendency,centering on some hot topics on the forest development strategy in China.The fluctuation of the world forest resources in closely related to the socio-economic development.Now there are two opposite development tendencies in the world.That is,the forest resources in developing countries are on the decrease while those in the developed countries are on the increase.The world forest development strategy is changing.In the developed countries,the single-benefit forestry is shifting to multiple-benefit forestry,while in the de-veoping countries the traditional forestry is shifting to rural forestry.The wood consumption structure and the forest product structure vary with the sci-technological development.Consequently the forest industrial policies in all countries are also regulated.New progress has been made in the science and technology in the world.Logging machinery strives for application of hi-tech,while the wood processing technology tends to use the new wood-based composites.The forest researches of the contemporary world concentrated on solving the problems of forest ecology and environment.Along with the shift of forest development strategy,the forest education must keep pace with the forest development,and works toward the system of running forest school for integration of teaching with scientific researches and sci-technological extension. |
