| Abstract: | Objective To summarize the etiology and diagnosis and treatment experience of ascending cholangitis. Methods The clinical characteristics, surgical procedures and therapeutic efficacy of 42 patients with reflux cholangitis were retrospectively analyzed. Results The causes of enteric-biliary reflux included Oddi’s sphincter dilatation （18 cases） and improper techniques of biliary reconstruction or surgical complications （24 cases）. All patients underwent Roux-en-Y cholangiojejunostomy （26 cases）, partial gastrectomy plus gastrojejunostomy （10 cases）, and correction of operation complications （6 cases）. The symptoms of biliary infection disappeared postoperatively in 32 cases and alleviated in 10 ones. Conclusion The cholangiojejunostomy and Oddi’s sphincter dilatation are the main cause of enteric-biliary reflux. Suitable approaches of biliary reconstruction can eliminate or palliate means is the symptoms of bile duct infection. |
