Abstract:Based on the integration map of 221 QTL for grain yield and its components of maize constructed by BioMercator 2.1 software using Genetic Map IBM2 2005 Neighbors as reference, one consensus QTL conferring ear number and kernel weight was identified on chromosome 2 using meta-analysis method with LOD score value of 4.0, which was located between the markers Sdg107and Isu2117b with map interval of 30.99 cM; Meanwhile, two consensus QTLs conferring ear number and kernel weight were identified on chromosome 3 and 4, located between the markers ucsd72d and IDP3796, ufg23 and mdr1, with map interval of 12.64 cM and 69.74 cM, respectively; Also, one consensus QTL conferring ear number, kernel weight and grain yield was detected on chromosome 9 positioned between the markers TB-9Sb(9) and gpm682 with map interval of 40.8 cM. The gene and marker sequences within the consensus QTL on chromosomes 2 and 3 were downloaded respectively from website MaizeGDB, and 4 positional candidate genes were detected by comparing these sequences against other genes by software BLASTx in NCBI website. The results provided useful information for identifying QTL conferring grain yield and its candidate genes in maize.
