| Abstract: | With stand basal area as index of density,the optimal densitiesfrom age 20 to age 80 for each site index are determined for the natural yo-ung and middle age stands of Larix dahurica Turcz in the central and south-ern district of Daxinganling in Inner Mongolia by means of dynamic progra-mming analytic method.The thinning according to optimal densities canfurnish more accumulating volume yield than other thinning forms.In orderto determine the optimal densities under being short of permanent plots,anew way of fitting basal area increment function in the form of modified Ri-chards' function is created by combining the data of analytic mean tree andtemporary plots. |
