| Abstract: | Caenorhabditis elegans is a kind of free living nematode. It is used as the model organism for the study of parasitical nematodes recently. The use of C. elegans as the vector for expressing the potential vaccine antigens of some important parasitical nematodes such as H. contortus is discussed. Futhermore, C. elegans is used to study the gene function of parasitical worms. This small nematode may open up new avenues for understanding the biology of these parasites and present opportunies for treatment and vaccine control. |
