Abstract: | A small catchment with an area of 1.98 km2 was chosen for detailed studies. The soils of the catchment area are dominated by leached and weakly leached chernozems on loess deposits. The 137Cs activity in the soils on a relatively flat area was about 26.7 ± 1.2 Bq/kg. In 20 years after the Chernobyl accident, a contrasting pattern of the 137Cs pollution density characterized the small catchment Gracheva Loshchina. |
