| Abstract: | This paper gives a general account of the scope,effect and technique of herbicide application to forests in foreign countries and the latest tendency of its development.Also itmakes a discussion on the trend and problems about chemical weeding in forests in China.Asto developing weeding in forests in China,the authors make the following recommendations:(1) Researches should be conducted on the kind of herbicids,application technique and acomplete set of equipment to be used in the various sectors of forestry,and effort should bemade to develop a system of weeding in forests.(2) Application of modern decisionmaking technique to the field of forest weeding should be emphasized and reinforced.(3) Importance should be attached to the combination of chemical weeding technique with thebiological weeding technique and the formulation of policy and regulations about the use ofherbicides.(1) Emphasis should be placed on the application of chemical weeding techniqueto artificial control and environmental protection in the ecosystem. |
