Analysis on the Characteristics of Potential Evapotranspiration in the Tarim River Basin

Abstract:In this study,the spatial and temporal characteristics of potential evapotranspiration(ET0)under climate change in the Tarim River Basin were analyzed.Based on the daily meteorological data from 1970 to 2019 from 40 meteorological stations in the Tarim River Basin and its surrounding areas,Penman-Monteith formula was selected to calculate ET0.Trend test and Pearson correlation analysis were used to analyze the temporal and spatial changes of ET0 and its relationship with meteorological factors.The results show that ET0 in the Tarim River Basin has a decreasing trend with a decreasing rate of 0.58mm/a.ET0 showed a seasonal pattern of summer>spring>autumn>winter.In space,the overall performance is high in the east and low in the west.There is the strongest positive correlation between ET0 and solar radiation,and the relative humidity and air pressure show significant negative correlation with ET0.
