| Abstract: | The differences in cultural images between the source and target languages frequently cause semantic defaults and contextual conflicts in the process of transference and present a hard nut for the translator to crack. Based on the debate of foreignization versus domestication, the paper argues for the integration of the two strategies in the translation of cultural images and emphasizes that translators should enhance their cross - cultural awareness. |
