| 摘 要： | 香蕉扁象Odoiporus longicollis Olivier是我国香蕉产区最重要的钻蛀害虫,以幼虫在蕉茎内取食,造成大量蛀道,危害严重。此虫年发生6代,世代重叠,成虫白天栖息于假茎枯烂叶鞘内侧,夜出活动,产卵前期较长。老熟幼虫在旧蕉茎内越冬,每年成虫种群发生有两个高峰期,分别为4—5月和9—10月。采用历期预测法或卵巢分级预测法,确定防治适期,用化学农药喷杀产卵前期的成虫;以及清除枯烂叶鞘,砍除隔年留头老蕉茎,消灭越冬幼虫,是目前防治此虫比较有效的措施。

| Abstract: | The banana borer, Odoiporus longicollis (Olivier) is the most important insect pest in the banana-growing districts in South China. This pest attacks the stem of banana, feeding inside and making many tunnels. Its damage has usually been very severe. O. longicollis passes six generations in a year, with overlapping generations in the field. The adults are active at night, preferring to lay eggs in taller stems.There are two obvious peaks of population growth:April to May and September to October. The preoviposition period is rather long. Mature larvae overwinter in the old stems of banana. The determination of the suitable time for chemical control is based on the speed of development of pupae or by grading the stages of ovary development.The following control measures were proved fo be effective:cleaning away decayed leaves and injured stems, cutting down the old stems and soaking them into water for about seven days or exposing them to the sunlight for about five days to eradicate the larvae inside the stems, and spraying 40% acephate to kill the adults. |
