| Abstract: | This paper reviews some current progress in molecular biology of plant cold hardiness.Duringcold development,endogenous levels of ABA increase,gene-expression changes and cold acclimation-in-duced protein(CAIP)synthesize,and cold-regulated gene(CoR Gent)is separated and cloned.The func-tions of CAIPs and CoR Genes are discussed,too.Using anti-freezing protein genes from polar fishes,transgenic plants have been got by genetic operation.The genes expressed in tomato have increased its coldresistance.The future is marvellcus in genetic engineering on plant cold hardiness. |
