| Abstract: | The article comprehensively introduces the recent research on the mechanism of alternate bearingin pistachio ( Pistacia vera L.) .The aspects reviewed consist of:(1)differentiation and abscis sion ofinfloresence bud ;(2)the responses ofthe tree to alternate bearing;(3)phytohormone and the abscission ofinflorescence bud ;(4)the control of alternate bearing;(5)the mechanism of alternative bearing and the problem forfuture research . |
