| 摘 要： | 1 INTRODUCTIONPlants have several defense mechanisms againstpathogenic attack, one of which is through proteaseinhibitors proteins. Cystatins are a group of proteinsthat act as inhibitors of cysteine proteinases and widelyexist in plants, animals, and microbes.
