| Abstract: | Xieyou 336 (Xieqingzao A/Yanghui 336), a new indica hybrid rice combination, was developed by Lixiahe Region Agricultural Research Institute of Jiangsu. It has characteristics of high and stable yield,good grain quality, cold tolerance,suitable maturity and wide adaptability. Xieyou 336 was introduced by Guizhou Denong Zhongye Limited Corporation to be tested in Guizhou Provincial Rice Variety Regional Trials in 2001 and 2002. It was registered and released to commercial production in Guizhou Province in July, 2003. Its breeding procedure, main characteristics, key cultural practices and hybrid seed production techniques were introduced. |
