| 摘 要： | <正> “荔城无处不荔枝”。福建莆田县是著名的古老的荔枝之乡,但在群众中对于普遍栽培的荔枝是何品种却没有一个明确的命名,或云种在水边的叫水荔,种在山坡上的叫埔荔。1940年谢成珂的调查曾提疑问,当时并未得到答案,只好笼统含混地称为“莆田荔枝”。1941年陈文训的报道则把双池宋氏宗祠的老荔枝树(即今所认为的“宋香”千年母树,其果实确与莆田一般品种无甚差异,笔者注)作为陈紫来介绍,把下林、蔡宅、陈墩、霞墩、青

AUTHENTICITY OF THE LITCHI VARIETY“CHEN ZI”IN PUTIAN |

| Abstract: | “Chen Zi”was the first name adopted by Chai,Xian in his works “Litchi Pu”This litchi variety had been demolished completely in the late Song Dynasty.Since then.only very few mentioned about it spora- dically Many workers mistook it for“Zhuangyuan Hong”,and considered “Zhuangyuan Hong”and“Chen Zi”are the same.In recent years,some magazines and publications such as textbooks stated that“Chen Zi”had been introduced to America by W.N Brewster at the beginning of this century. The systematic morphological study of Chai Xian written in“Litchi Pu”described the fruit shape of“Chen Zi”as having broad round-top, with thin and smooth peel.On the other hand.the litchi of Putian is cordate in shape the muricated peel loaded with aculea. Therefore,considering both the characteristics of litchi fruit and books of the ancient record the variety of litchi found in putian belongs not to the“Chen Zi”,but rather to the“Zhuangyuan Hong”.Besides.the “Yuan Hong”of Fuzhou,the“Shang Fan Zhi”of Fuqing.and the“Gushan Litchi”of Yongchun are just the same as“Zhuangyuan Hong” |
