| 摘 要： | 谦逊准则是著名语言学家Leech提出的"礼貌原则"的六条准则之一,这条准则在中国文化中得到很好的运用,体现了中国传统社会的道德和价值取向,而英语中的谦逊用语远比汉语中的少,实际应用的更少.中英两种文化在谦逊准则方面有较大的差异,了解这种差异对我们的现实生活有指导意义.

| Abstract: | The modesty maxim is one of the six maxims of Politeness Principle put forward by Leech, a famous linguist, which has been used in Chinese culture broadly, and modesty incarnates the moral and value tropism of the traditional Chinese society. However, modesty diction in English is far less than that in Chinese. In this article, examples and lists will be contrasted for analysis, which will make us learn more about the difference between two cultures, and also give us guidance in our real life. |
