Abstract: | A 9-year-old male Beagle dog was presented with a history of regurgitation for more than a month. In radiographic examination of the esophagus, a space-occupying defect suggesting an intramural lesion was found in the caudal esophagus. At necropsy a diagnosis of a hematoma of the wall of the esophagus was made. Trauma was suggested as a possible etiology because the dog also had a fracture of the first rib on the same side as the esophageal hematoma. |
