| Abstract: | The experiment was conducted for three years on an area of 1,600 mu of hot pepper. The results showed that control ofHaliothis assulta by releasing Trichogramms confusus was distinctly better than that of chemical control. In the fieldswhere the wasp was released, population density of the tobacco budworm was kept under 1 individual per 100 plants. The percentage of damage was 0.6-0.8%, resulted in a 10-15% yield increase. The control cost was reduced by 75%. |
