| Abstract: | An introduction on the history of International Grassland Congress and the evolving of grassland science was given in detail by author of this paper .The contents of this paper include: the origin of Congress; a review of Congress history and some truly historical facts; the evolving science of grassland improvement in different geographical regions; the characteristics of the evolving science of grassland improvement in different years; the relationship between the International Rangeland Congress and the International Grassland Congress ;the influence of International Grassland Congress on the development of grassland society, grassland agricultue and the achievements of grassland scientists in the world ;The influence and inspiration of International Grassland Congress and International Rangeland Congress on Chinese grassland science. |
