摘    要:本文综述了当代世界林业科学技术发展的10大特点,简要介绍了森林培育学、生物工程、人工林、“接近自然的林业”、无性系林业、森林生态与环境、森林经理、森林病虫害防治、林业机械和林产工业等学科水平现状及发展趋势。

Abstract:The contemporary world forest science and technology like other fields of science develops rapidly and are advanced to a high level,forming a scientifie and technological sys-tem favoring forest development:the main developmental characteristics are as follows:(1) The silviculture is increasingly perfected and the the ory of the forest ecosystem has become the theoretical basis of contemporary silviculture.(2) Today biotechnology has become a branch of science in great demand.Many achievements have been scored by Chinese silvicul-turists in this field.(3) More emphasis is placed on the "second generation effect" of planta-tions.Now there are two viewpoints concerning the long range productivity of plantations: "derease theory" and "increase theory".(4) Theory of "nature-approximation" has becomea "hotly pursued" subject.(5) The theory of clonic forestry becomes more attractive.Thisnew branch of science develops rapidly.(6) The research on forest ecology and environmentis a world-wide important subject.(7) Hi-tech is increasingly and extensively applied inforest management.(8) The theory and technique of forest insect and disease control havemade new advances.(9) Researches on forest machinery enters a new phase.(10) Researches on forest products have been shifted to new subjects.A new book discussing the above mentioned 10 characteristics will be soon off print.
