| Abstract: | This paper reviewed the nutrition and medicinal uses of broccoli as well as its production and exportation in China.The data showed that protein content of broccoli is two folder of cauliflowers;its VA is 240 times and 6 times higher than cauliflower's and tomato's, respectively;its calcium is twice as much as tomato's.In addition, broccoli could be used to prevent from and defend cancers.Compared to the US, the amount and price that broccoli was exported from China to Japan was lower.So, it is necessary to develop and establish approaches of broccoli production, management and standards suitable to China in order to make higher profits out of broccoli exportation. |
