The Effect of Special Climate Year on Cotton Production of Exceptional Early Mature Cotton Region of Shanxi |

| Abstract: | Affected by Earnino phenomenon, the climate was quite unusual in 1997 on exceptional early mature cotton region of Shanxi. Sustainable high temperature, drought and unsufficient light resulted in shortening the time of growth and reproduction of cotton, decreasing the number of bolls bearing on the upper part, but increasing rate of bolls opening before frost. Higher yield could be obtained if some measures were adopted. |
