Use of principal-coordinate analysis to assist in aggregating species for volume-table construction

Abstract:Principal-coordinate analysis based on differences between tree volume equations for pairs of species was used to help aggregate species into groups for the development of tree-volume prediction equations. The statistical technique is shown to offer considerable promise, but should not be used as the only technique.
