| Abstract: | Modernized agriculture came into being and evolved with political,economic,ideological,scientific,and educational conditions.This paper,which focuses on revolution of education and system of science and technology,divides the course of agricultural modernization in China into phases of gestation,taking-off,and comprehensive transformation.It explores the functions of agricultural education,research and extension in this modernization course,and reviews the milestone events in it.It concludes that China’s agriculture has been developed as modern agriculture in terms of agricultural science and technology and education,but in terms of agricultural production subjects it is still in a transition form between traditional agriculture and modern agriculture. |
