Abstract:The HA and NA genes of two H3N8 subtype avian influenza viruses A/duck/Guangxi/69/2009 and A/chicken/Guangxi/2117/2010 were amplified by RT-PCR and then sequenced.Nucleotide sequences of the HA and NA gene of the two isolates were 1 733 bp and 1 432 bp in length,respectively.The results of the comparative sequence analysis showed that the A/duck/Guangxi/69/2009 shared high identity with A/duck/Siberia/100/01,and A/chicken/Guangxi/2117/2010 shared high identity with A/white munia/Hong Kong/4519/00 in HA gene,A/duck/Guangxi/69/2009 shared high identity with A/duck/Eastern China/91/09,and A/chicken/Guangxi/2117/2010 shared high identity with A/aquatic bird/ Korea/KN-1/04 in NA gene.The phylogenetic analysis results showed the two H3N8 subtype avian influenza viruses were located in the same phylogenetic branch.The sequence on cleavage site of HA proteins of two H3N8 isolates were both P-E-K-Q-T-R,so these two viruses belonged to low pathogenic avian influenza viruses.
