The main purpose of this study is to discuss the effect of Cd+2, Cr+3 and Se metals on biochemical parameters in liver tissue of Oncorhynchus mykiss. The rainbow trout were exposed to heavy metal stress (Cd+2, Cr+3) at 2 ppm dosage. The present study was undertaken to determine the protective effect of selenium treatment at the same dosage (2 ppm) on some biochemical parameters. The activity of catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the changes in levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) from biochemical parameters were determined in liver tissue of the fish groups exposed to heavy metals, especially for the selenium-applied groups. Results of this study showed that the activities of CAT, GSH-Px and SOD in the tissues of fish exposed to the stress of Cd+2 and Cr+3 were significantly lower than the control groups (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, the closer values to the control groups were obtained in selenium-added groups (Cr+3 + Se+4, Cd+2 + Se+4). For the level of MDA, the last production of lipid peroxidation showed increases (< 0.05) in the groups exposed to the metal stress, whereas significant decreases were obtained in selenium-applied groups. The result of the statistical evaluation showed that the negative effects occurring in the biochemical parameters of the applied groups exposed to the toxicity of heavy metal were significantly eliminated (P < 0.05) as a result of selenium treatment.  相似文献

为开发新型吸附剂,降低重金属对水体的污染,研究了壳聚糖对Cd2+和Pb2+的吸附条件,探讨了pH、温度、反应时间、壳聚糖添加量和金属离子初始浓度等因素对壳聚糖吸附性能的影响。结果表明,pH 7~8和pH 5~6条件下壳聚糖对Cd2+和Pb2+的吸附能力最强;低温有利于壳聚糖的吸附;在8 h时壳聚糖对Cd2+的吸附容量达到最大,而对Pb2+的吸附在实验时间内是随着吸附时间的延长而增大;随着壳聚糖添加量的增加,其对Cd2+和Pb2+的吸附能力也增强;初始金属离子浓度的变化对Cd2+的影响不大,而在高的金属浓度下对Pb2+的吸附率显著降低。壳聚糖对Cd2+、Pb2+的吸附动力学和热力学分别符合Lagergren方程二级吸附模型和Langmuir吸附方程。研究表明,壳聚糖对不同金属离子的吸附能力不同,在单一金属溶液中,壳聚糖对Cd2+的吸附能力要强于对Pb2+的吸附能力。系统地研究了壳聚糖对Cd2+和Pb2+的吸附条件及性能,为壳聚糖作为重金属吸附剂的应用提供理论依据。  相似文献

Diludine is used as an effective agent reducing mutagenic effects of environmental pollutants, increasing productivity and protecting reproductive system of parental individuals and quality of their offspring. A 10‐week study was conducted to evaluate potential effects of diludine on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) juveniles growth performance, feed utilization, survival rate, liver antioxidant enzyme activities (superoxide dismutase, SOD, EC1.15.1.1 ; catalase, CAT, EC1.11.1.16 ; glutathione peroxidase, GPx, EC 1.11.1.9 ; glutathione reductase, GR, EC1.6.4.2 ; glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase, G6PD, EC1.1.1.49 and glutathione S‐transferase, GST, EC1.5.1.18 ), the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) as a lipid peroxidation marker and muscular trace elements at a low water temperature (9 °C). Diludine was added at 0.2, 0.5 and 1 g kg?1 to a fish meal–based control diet, and each diet was fed to triplicate groups of rainbow trout juveniles. After 10 weeks, there were no differences in survival rate between fish fed experimental diets (P > 0.05). It was observed that a significant improvability existed for both growth and feed utilization in fish fed diets supplemented with diludine (P < 0.05). Antioxidant enzymes showed significantly increased activity in liver tissues (P < 0.05) and then a decrease to initial activity levels during the experimental time. (GPx activity was not determined in the juvenile livers.) SOD and GST activities in liver of fish fed the diets with diludine tended to be higher and GR activity tended to be lower than that in fish fed the basal diet. However, in general, it was determined that different concentration of diludine did not affect the studied antioxidant enzyme activities except G6PD in the liver of juveniles fed the diet with 1 g kg?1 diludine. On the other hand, the significant reduction was found in MDA levels in the fish fed the diets with diludine compared with basal diet on the 14th and 28th days of experiment. It was also observed that Cu, Fe, Mg, Zn and Se levels were significantly higher in the juveniles fed the diet with 1 g kg?1 diludine than those fed the basal diet. In conclusion, the results of this trial indicate that 1 g kg?1 dietary supplementation with diludine seems to be most positive for rainbow trout production in cold‐water adaptation.  相似文献

The effect of sulfide on K+ influx pathways was measured in red blood cells (RBCs) of sulfide-sensitive rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and sulfide-tolerant crucian carp (Carassius carassius). In trout RBCs, maximal inhibition of Na+, K+-ATPase was attained at 10 mol l–1 sulfide and amounted to 32% without being influenced by pH between 6.7 and 8.3. Ouabain-resistant K+ influx in the absence and presence of sulfide was insignificant at pH values between 6.7 and 7.7. At higher pH values ouabain-resistant K+ influx increased, but was inhibited to about 15% by 30 mol l–1 sulfide. In RBCs of crucian carp neither Na+, K+-ATPase nor ouabain-resistant K+ influx were affected by sulfide concentrations up to 850 mol l–1. Differences in sulfide-sensitivity of K+ influx between both species can be based upon different properties of the membrane transporter themselves. The reduced Na+, K+-ATPase activity in trout RBCs may also result from a slightly reduced (by 9%) ATP level after sulfide exposure. In addition, intracellular sulfide concentrations were higher in trout RBCs as compared to crucian carp. In trout, intracellular sulfide concentrations reached extracellular levels within 5 min of incubation whereas sulfide concentrations in crucian carp RBCs remained about 2-fold lower than extracellular concentrations. Although the physiological basis of sulfide-insensitive K+ influx in crucian carp RBCs is currently unknown it may contribute to the extremely high sulfide-tolerance of this species.  相似文献

In the present study, the effects of different sources of selenium (Se; sodium selenite or selenomethionine) supplementation on the growth and serum concentrations of oxidative stress markers [malondialdehyde (MDA), 8‐isoprostane, glutathione peroxidase (GSH‐Px) activity] and muscle Se, MDA and heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) levels in rainbow trouts were evaluated. The fish (n = 360; 0 + years old) with initial average weight of 20 ± 0.8 g were randomly assigned to 12 treatment groups consisting of 3 replicates of 10 fish each in a 2 × 2 × 3 factorial arrangement of treatments (stocking densities, Se sources, Se levels). The fish were kept at low (25 kg m?3) or high (100 kg m?3) stocking densities and fed a basal (control) diet or the basal diet supplemented with either 0.15 or 0.30 mg of Se kg?1 of diet from two different forms: sodium selenite or selenomethionine. High stocking density decreased weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio (FCR) when basal diet was fed (P = 0.001). A linear increase in feed intake and weight gain and improvement in FCR were found in sodium selenite (P = 0.01)‐ or selenomethionine (P = 0.001)‐supplemented fish reared under crowding conditions. Serum and muscle Se levels and serum GSH‐Px activity increased (P = 0.001) linearly, whereas serum and muscle MDA concentrations and serum 8‐isoprostane decreased linearly as dietary sodium selenite (P = 0.01) or selenomethionine (P = 0.001) supplementation increased. Selenomethionine and sodium selenite supplementation decreased Hsp70 in the muscle of fish reared under crowding conditions (P < 0.05). Supplementation with Se improved growth and antioxidant status of fish and the effects of selenomethionine were relatively greater than sodium selenite in the crowded groups. Results suggest that crowding conditions cause significant detrimental effects in rainbow trout indicated by increased oxidative stress, reduced feed intake and body weight gain. ?t also indicates that dietary Se supplementation offers a feasible way of reducing the losses in performance of rainbow trout reared under crowding conditions. Selenomethionine seems to be more effective than sodium selenite and the higer dose in the present study also seems to be more effective than the lower dose.  相似文献

In the present study, potential ameliorative effects of dietary ginger (GN) were investigated on antioxidant and immune responses of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) during oxytetracycline (OX) administration. As a 2 × 3 factorial design, the fish were orally treated with OX (a daily dose of 100 mg/kg) and GN (either 10 or 20 g/kg diet) for 10 days. Then, blood samples were taken from each treatment to monitor plasma lysozyme, complement (ACH50), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione‐S‐transferase (GST) activities, and reduced glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), total immunoglobulin (Ig) and globulin levels. OX treatment significantly decreased SOD (30%), GPx, (10%) and lysozyme (23%) activities, and GSH (19%) levels; however, it increased GST (16%) activity and MDA (28%) levels. Ten grams GN per kg levels significantly decreased SOD (35%), CAT (13%), GST (20%) and MDA (30%), but increased GSH (30%), lysozyme (48%) and globulin (16%). Twenty grams GN per kg diet significantly decreased SOD (26%) and MDA (17%), but increased lysozyme (31%) levels. Interaction effects of dietary GN and OX were observed on plasma MDA and GPx levels, as 10 g GN per kg diet prevented the OTC‐induced changes in these parameters. Moreover, 20 g GN per kg diet prevented the OX‐induced change in GPx activity and mitigated the MDA elevation by 20%. It is concluded that GN administration at 10 g/kg diet is beneficial in mitigating oxidative stress and immunosuppression of rainbow trout during OX administration.  相似文献

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have a crucial role in inorganic selenium metabolism as well as their known desirable effects on fish. In this study, the synergistic effects of dietary sodium selenite and Pediococcus acidilactici on growth performance, intestinal bacterial counts, selenium bioavailability, hepatic antioxidant enzyme thioredoxin reductase activity and hepatic glycolytic enzyme activity that is hexokinase, phosphofructokinase and pyruvate kinase, and non‐specific immune response such as serum lysozyme and complements C3, C4 and ACH50 activity in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were investigated. Thus, a 3 × 3 factorial design experiment was conducted with nine purified diets including three levels of sodium selenite (0, 1 and 2 mg/kg) and three levels of P. acidilactici (0, 7 and 9 log CFU/g). After 8 weeks of feeding, weight gain and specific growth rate were increased by increasing dietary sodium selenite and P. acidilactici levels compared to control (p < .05), whereas feed conversion ratio and condition factor was decreased by increasing dietary sodium selenite and P. acidilactici amounts in comparison with control (p < .05). Survival rate was not significantly affected among the experimental treatments (p > .05). Total cultivable bacterial populations after 4 and 8 weeks of the feeding trial were not significantly different among the dietary treatments, while LAB levels were higher in P. acidilactici‐fed groups than in control and selenium‐fed groups (p < .05). Selenocysteine, methylselenocysteine and selenomethionine levels in the intestine of rainbow trout were increased by increasing the sodium selenite and P. acidilactici levels (p < .05), and selenocysteine was found the most selenium species in the trout intestine. The quantity of total selenium in the whole body, intestine, blood, liver and muscle of rainbow trout were increased by increasing the amounts of sodium selenite and P. acidilactici compared to control (p < .05). Hepatic thioredoxin reductase and hexokinase activity were increased by increasing dietary selenium and P. acidilactici levels in comparison to control (p < .05), whereas phosphofructokinase and pyruvate kinase activity in the liver of rainbow trout were not significantly different between the dietary treatments. Serum lysozyme, complements C3, C4 and ACH50 activity were enhanced by increasing dietary selenium and P. acidilactici levels compared to control (p < .05). The most synergistic effects of dietary supplements on growth and metabolism of rainbow trout were obtained at 2 mg/kg sodium selenite and 7 log CFU/g P. acidilactici. The findings revealed the synergistic effect of dietary selenium and P. acidilactici on growth and metabolism in rainbow trout (O. mykiss).  相似文献

The present study investigated the effects of propolis and vitamin E supplementation in diets of juvenile rainbow trout subjected to two different flow rates (0.9 and 2.1 L min?1) on growth performance, and vitamin A, C and E concentrations in tissues as well as malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. Juvenile rainbow trout were fed with diets containing 10 and 30 g propolis kg?1, 60 mg kg?1 vitamin E (Rovimix E‐50 adsorbate; min.%50 dl‐α‐tokopherly acetate) and without supplemented basal diet for 12 weeks. Weight gain (WG) in the C group was significantly lower (P < 0.05) than P10, P30 and E60 groups at both flow rate treatments. At 2.1 L min?1, specific growth rate (SGR) in the C group was significantly lower (P < 0.05) than other groups, but at 0.9 L min?1, SGR of fish did not differ among the diets groups (P > 0.05). Survival rate (SUR) was higher in propolis and vitamin E supplemented diet groups (P < 0.05) than control diet group at 0.9 L min?1. Fish fed on diet E60 had higher (P < 0.05) tissue vitamin E concentration than fishes fed on other diets groups. Vitamin C concentration in rainbow trout tissues was significantly affected by the 30 g propolis supplemented diet group (P < 0.05), followed by the 10 g propolis supplemented diet group (P < 0.05). MDA level of E60 group was found significantly decreased instead of different than other groups (P < 0.05). The results of Student's t‐test revealed that WG, SGR, SUR values, vitamin (A, C, E) concentrations and MDA levels of tissues were negatively affected by 0.9 L min?1flow rate treatment in juvenile rainbow trout.  相似文献

In this study, roes obtained from carp (Cyprinus carpio carpio) that were caught in Keban Dam Lake (Turkey) and cultured rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were processed as caviar, and the products were stored at + 4 C°. Lipid peroxidation and the compositions of fatty acids of these products were assessed during production and storage period. The result of fatty analyses showed that palmitic acid (16:0), stearic acid (18:0), palmitoleic acid (16:1), oleic acid (18:1), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are all essential fatty acids, were determined in the caviars of the roes obtained from rainbow trout and carp. According to results of chemical analyses, there were no significant differences in thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARs) between rainbow trout and carp caviars (p > 0.05), but malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were found to be statistically significant (p < 0.01). It can be concluded that caviars obtained from both rainbow trout and carp roes are rich in fatty acids and take a part in a balanced and healthy diet.  相似文献

To control heavy metal pollution during the culture of the mud clam, Tegillarca granosa L., the isothermal static adsorption capacities of three adsorption materials [natural zeolites, zeolites synthesized from kaolin and zeolites synthesized from coal fly ash (ZFA)] towards Cu2+, Cd2+, Cr6+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ in seawater were investigated. The adsorption capacity of the best material was investigated during the culture of mud clam in an artificially polluted environment. Results showed that the ZFA adsorption capacity was the highest and conformed to the Freundlich model. The theoretical maximum adsorption capacities of the adsorbent towards Cu2+, Cd2+, Cr6+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ in seawater were 3.057, 1.123, 0.325, 13.101, 6.116 mg g?1 and 6.527 μg g?1 respectively. For seawater artificially polluted by six heavy metals, heavy metal adsorption by ZFA followed the order Zn2+ > Cd2+ > Hg2+ > Cu2+ > Pb2+ > Cr6+. For the mud clam culturing experiment that simulated a continuously polluted water source, the Cu2+, Cd2+, Cr6+, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ contents of mud clam tissues decreased by 40.9%, 25.8%, 9.6%, 28.2%, ?27.8% and 25.7%, respectively, after 21 days of culturing compared with the contents before the experiment.  相似文献

The immune‐related enzymes in marine animals are very sensitive to divalent metal ions. To investigate the roles divalent metal ions play in the influence on the immunity of sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus, one of the most important commercial species in Asian countries, the effects of eight divalent metal ions at concentrations of 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mmol L?1 on the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), phenoloxidase (PO), acid phosphatase (ACP), alkaline phosphatase (AKP) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in coelomic fluid were determined with the nitro blue tetrazolium chloride (NBT) method, dopachrome formation method, p‐nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) method and 3,3′,5,5′‐tetramethyl benzidine (TMB) method. The results indicated that Mg2+ enhanced the activities of SOD, PO, ACP and AKP significantly and showed no obvious effect on MPO activity; Zn2+ increased the activities of SOD, ACP and AKP, and showed no obvious effect on the activities of PO and MPO; Cu2+ enhanced the activities of ACP, AKP and MPO and activated SOD and PO at a certain concentration range; Ca2+ and Mn2+ inhibited the activities of ACP and AKP; Fe2+ had strong inhibitory effect on SOD activity; Pb2+ showed inhibitions on the activities of SOD, PO, ACP and AKP; and Cd2+ inhibited MPO activity greatly. The data obtained in this study collectively suggest that Mg2+, Zn2+ and Cu2+ have potential in promotion of A. japonicus immunity, while Ca2+, Fe2+, Pb2+, Cd2+ and Mn2+ might be limiting factors to the immune response of A. japonicus.  相似文献

The current study investigated the effects of oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, extract on immunological and hematological parameters of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. The fish were fed diets containing 0 (control), 1, and 2% supplementation of the oyster mushroom extract for 6 wk. Blood samples were collected weekly for the first 6 weeks. After 6 wk of feeding, the fish were challenged with Lactococcus garvieae and mortality was recorded. The results of this study showed that feeding rainbow trout an oyster mushroom extract–supplemented diet stimulated phagocytic activity of phagocytic cells, lysozyme activity, and myeloperoxidase activity in serum, but it did not significantly affect the total serum immunoglobulin level. At the same time, a significant increase was found in the number of neutrophils, monocytes, and total white blood cells. Fish fed the diet supplemented with oyster mushroom extract showed reduced mortalities following L. garvieae infection compared with controls. These results show that supplementation of fish diets with oyster mushroom extract at 1 and 2% concentrations significantly imrpoves hematological parameters and modulates the immune response against L. garvieae in rainbow trout.  相似文献

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of dietary eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) levels on the fatty acid composition, salinity tolerance and antioxidant status of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Four diets were formulated with total EPA and DHA contents of 5.41, 9.55, 13.97 and 17.88 g/kg (abbreviated as ED‐5.41, ED‐9.55, ED‐13.97 and ED‐17.88 respectively). Rainbow trout (initial weight of 90.61 ± 9.25 g) were fed the experimental diets for 8 weeks to accumulate significant differences in fatty acid composition and subsequently underwent salinity acclimation. Our results indicated that high dietary EPA and DHA significantly improved the EPA and DHA content in fish tissues. The serum osmolality of fish returned to their freshwater values in the ED‐9.55, ED‐13.97 and ED‐17.88 groups. The Na+, K+‐ATPase (NKA) activity of fish in the ED‐13.97 group changed dramatically to adapt the fish to the hypertonic environment. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the serum cortisol concentration and liver catalase (CAT) activity of fish in the ED‐13.97 group during salinity acclimation. The liver superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the ED‐13.97 group was significantly higher than that in ED‐5.41 and ED‐9.55 groups at the end of salinity acclimation. The muscle malondialdehyde (MDA) content in the ED‐13.97 group was significantly lower than that in the ED‐17.88 group before salinity acclimation and significantly lower than the ED‐5.41 and ED‐17.88 groups on day 7 of acclimation. The results of this study indicate that the rainbow trout in the ED‐13.97 group exhibited optimal salinity acclimation performance.  相似文献

The present study investigated the effect of arginine on seminal plasma composition in rainbow trout. Male rainbow trout broodstocks (2500 ± 200 g) were fed five practical diets (each consisting of three triplicates) supplemented with Arginine at 0.50%, 1.50% and 2.00%. The control group were fed without arginine. Broodstock feeding lasted for 90 days, and then fish semen was sampled. Results indicated no significant differences in LDH, ALP, Fe2+ and phosphorous content among the different treatments. The lowest levels of AST and ALT and the highest levels of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions were observed in the treatment fed with 1.50% arginine, which showed significant differences from other treatments (P < 0.05). Moreover, the amount of Cl?, Na+ and K+ ions was significantly increased in the seminal plasma in fish fed diets containing arginine in comparison with the control. As the amount of arginine was increased, the levels of uric acid became significantly greater in contrast to urea and glucose levels. The highest amounts of cholesterol, fructose and total protein were observed in treatments fed on 2.00%, 0.50% and 1.00% arginine, respectively, showing significant differences from other treatments (P < 0.05). The highest pH value was assayed in the 1.50% arginine treatment. Results indicated that arginine had a potential efficacy on semen quality in rainbow trout broodstocks.  相似文献

The effect of waterborne selenite levels on selenium accumulated by different developmental stages of rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) was studied using75SeO 3 = as a tracer. All stages readily accumulated selenium at both high and low concentrations, but the rate of accumulation increased as the trout developed from the egg to the juvenile feeding stage. The low rate of selenium accumulation by embryos seemed to be related more to a lack of gills than to the presence of a chorion. The bioconcentration factor (the ratio of tissue-to-water concentrations) declined in all groups with increased waterborne selenium levels; accumulation rates appeared limited by cell permeability. At low levels of waterborne selenium (0.4μg/l), the total accumulated was small relative to existing body burdens and unlikely to contribute significantly to the nutritional requirement for selenium. High levels (45.6μg/l), however, caused considerable selenium accumulation and may be sufficient to overcome the effects of low dietary selenium.  相似文献

The study was carried out to quantitate the transfer of toxaphene and chlordane compounds from commercial fish feed into the edible part of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum) under normal rearing conditions. Trout were fed with unspiked high energy feed for salmon (fat content 26–30%) over a period of 19 months. The average weight of trout increased from 10 g to more than 2092 g, reaching sizes of 51 cm length. Considerable amounts of toxaphene and chlordane residues were transferred from fish feed into trout muscle. Toxaphene concentrations increased up to 8.6 µg (Σ toxaphene indicator compounds 1–3) kg?1 wet weight (w.w.) and chlordane reached 5.3 µg Σoxy‐, trans‐, cis‐chlordane + t‐nonachlor kg?1 w.w. Results are also discussed on the contaminant levels based on the fat content and the effect of sexual maturation is considered in this study. The data allow the establishment of transfer rates for toxaphene and chlordane congeners from high energy diet into the edible part of farmed rainbow trout.  相似文献

The multi-level defence system present in vertebrate cells to protect against chain reactions initiated by free radicals (mainly toxic metabolites of oxygen) is outlined. It comprises superoxide dismutases (Cu-Zn and Mn dependent), glutathione peroxidase (Se dependent), vitamin E and glutathione S-transferase.The protective role of superoxide dismutase (SOD) was demonstrated by studies on trout (Salmo gairdneri) retina (Desrochers and Hoffert 1983). This tissue is subject to very high O2 tensions but has a high resistance to O2 toxicity that is dependent on a high dismutating capacity. The activities of both the cytosolic Cu-Zn SOD and the mitochondrial Mn SOD in the liver of rainbow trout were significantly altered in response to changes in dietary intake of these minerals.Deficiency of Se did not affect the growth rate of rainbow trout but led to greatly reduced activities of hepatic and plasma glutathione (GSH) peroxidase. There was no evidence of a Se-independent GSH peroxidase activity. In rainbow trout depleted of Se there was a compensatory increase in hepatic GSH S-transferase activity. This enzyme in conjunction with GSH has been shown to inhibit lipid peroxidation in the Festimulated microsomal systemin vitro. A dietary synergism between vitamin E and Se in rainbow trout has been demonstrated.The vitamin E requirement of rainbow trout is related to the polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) content of the diet. The molar ratio PUFA: vitamin E in rainbow trout tissues is lower than that in rats. Time course studies on the uptake of orally administered vitamin E showed rapid incorporation into biomembranes; few differences between normal and vitamin E deficient fish were evident. Effects of commercial source for astaxanthin (Haematococcus pluvialis) (H.p) on antioxidant power, specific marker enzymes, and some metabolites were examined in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Fish were fed on diets containing 1, 3, and 10 g microalga kg−1 feed for 30 days. Serum total antioxidant activity and lipid peroxidation product, indicated by malondialdehyde (MDA), significantly enhanced with different doses of administration, indicating the elevated antioxidant status in all treatment groups. In group fed with high dose of alga, significantly elevated aspartate aminotransferase activity (AST) was noted, indicating damage of normal liver function in this group. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were not affected in all groups. Although serum total protein remained unaffected, serum glucose level was decreased significantly in lower doses of administration. Furthermore, triglyceride and cholesterol levels showed significant decrease in 3 g kg−1 microalga group by modulation of lipid metabolism in this group. On the other hand, in highest dose, significant increase in lipids was observed, indicating the slight dysfunction in lipid metabolism in this treatment group. The present study suggests that Haematococcus pluvialis especially in dose of 3 g kg−1 feed administration may effectively enhance the antioxidant system and some biochemical parameters in rainbow trout.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of three commercial astaxanthin preparations (100 mg kg?1 diet) with different solubilities in water, from DSM (Dutch State Mines), BASF (Badische Anilin and Soda Fabrik) and Wisdom Company on pigmentation of flesh and antioxidation of flesh, serum and liver in rainbow trout with an initial weight of 52.07 g. After 60 days of feeding, there were no significant differences in growth or flesh proximate composition of rainbow trout among groups (P > 0.05); the Salmo Fan score, redness and astaxanthin content of flesh in rainbow trout fed diets supplemented with astaxanthins were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). At 0, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h after thawing, the flesh malondialdehyde (MDA) content of the three astaxanthin groups was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The total antioxidation capacity (T-AOC) of liver in the three astaxanthin groups was significantly higher, but serum catalase (CAT) activities were lower, than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The results indicate that addition of 100 mg kg?1 astaxanthin from DSM, BASF or Wisdom to the diet could improve flesh redness and liver T-AOC, reduce serum CAT, SOD and flesh MDA and extend the shelf life of flesh, in spite of the different solubilities of the three sources in water.  相似文献

Three experiments were conducted in order to evaluate the effects of urea and trimethylamine oxide (TMAO) supplementation in diets for seawater‐farmed rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. In all experiments, commercial extruded feed was used as basal control diet, whereas experimental diets were the basal diet supplemented with either 10 g kg–1 TMAO, 10 g kg–1 urea or 10 g kg–1 TMAO and 10 g kg–1 urea. The experiments were conducted both in research units and in a commercial fish farm. Quality was evaluated in three different commercial slaughterhouses, sorting the rainbow trout into superior, ordinary or processing grade. Significantly more TMAO was observed in muscle of rainbow trout given dietary supplementation of TMAO. However, the levels were low compared with levels in marine fish in general. Trimethylamine (TMA) was not found. No increase in muscle urea content was observed in trout fed urea in the diet. Significantly reduced fat belching, seen as reduced number of fat droplets surfacing in the net pen, was observed in groups given TMAO‐supplemented feeds. At least twice as many rainbow trout with skin vesicles were observed in the control group as in the group fed urea‐supplemented diet. In addition, skin vesicles developed into open sores in the winter only in rainbow trout fed control diet. In a large‐scale trial, quality grading of almost 200 000 market‐sized rainbow trout showed significantly more (88 vs. 83%) trout of superior grade in the group fed dietary urea compared with fish fed control diet. The main reason for downgrading from superior to ordinary and processing grade was skin lesions, supporting the observations made in the experimental units.  相似文献
